Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor
Platform: PC
Release: 2001
Position: QA Assistant Lead

This time marked the end period of the publisher. At this time we were owned and managed by Mattel Interactive. By now the studio had been acquired and sold by several other companies and by the end of this project we would be owned by Ubisoft. I only bring it up to show that through it all I managed to make the cut. This would be the second to last project I would work on as a part of the QA department.
As things had begun to wind down for our studio there was no project for me to lead. Though I was still a highly skilled asset for the company I was kept on as an Assistant Lead for the Pool of Radiance project.
My responsibilities were still very similar to those of a lead and I managed a portion of the team of about 20 testers. Though not responsible for the creation of test plans and bug databases I was responsible for managing the portion of those assets that my team were responsible for.
Doing Indi Before It Was Cool
Towards the end of the project Ubisoft shipped the entirety of QA to their Montreal offices. For the remainder of my time with Ubisoft I would work as a tester on Silent Hunter II. Though not worth it's own entry in my bio it is worth this foot note. I spent my days working in the Ultimation offices as an in-house tester. It's worth noting because it marks a time where I worked with a small team of about 10 people on a small project. Basically my first credit as an indi developer.
